Privacy Policy
devyang ("Company") values your privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), where relevant. This policy applies to the mobile and web game service "Space Tap Miner: Idle Frontier" ("Service").
1. Information We Collect
Your game progress is stored locally in your device's browser storage (localStorage) or app storage. The following information is additionally processed for cloud save, leaderboards, advertising, and crash diagnostics.
- Anonymous account identifier: an anonymous authentication ID (UID) generated automatically when you first launch the app. It contains no information that directly identifies you, such as your name or contact details.
- Game progress data: your save data (resources, facilities, research, ships, artifacts and other progress state) and its last-updated timestamp, backed up to the cloud so you can restore progress after reinstalling or changing devices.
- Leaderboard information: the nickname you set (or an auto-generated name derived from your identifier if you set none) and summary progress values. This is shown publicly to other players on the ranking screen.
- Google account linking (optional): the email address and display name of the Google account you link. We use these solely to let you share one save across devices; all game features remain available without linking.
- Payments: Payments are processed by app stores (Google Play, App Store). We only receive the outcome (purchased product code, approval status, receipt identifier).
- Advertising: When ads are shown, the ad SDK may itself collect an advertising identifier and device information. Details are governed by the ad provider's own policies (see Section 4 below). In the EEA and the UK we request consent for personalized advertising on first launch, and you can change that choice at any time from the in-game Settings.
- Crash diagnostics: error stack traces and device environment details when the app terminates unexpectedly. This is configured not to collect user-identifying information or IP addresses.
- Support inquiries: Your email address and the content of the inquiry.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service and to save/restore your game progress.
- To prevent abuse and to maintain the integrity of rankings and leaderboards.
- To process purchases of paid items and handle refund requests.
- To respond to support inquiries and improve the Service.
3. Retention Period
We delete collected information once its purpose has been fulfilled. Where applicable law requires retention, we keep it for the required period.
- Contract and payment records (Korean e-commerce law): 5 years
- Records of consumer complaints and dispute resolution: 3 years
- Data stored on your device: until you delete browser data or uninstall the app
- Cloud save and leaderboard data: until you run "Reset save" in the in-game Settings
- Crash diagnostics: 90 days from collection
4. Third-Party Data Processing
We do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent. However, we may entrust the minimum information necessary to the following service providers for payments, advertising, or hosting:
- Authentication, cloud save and leaderboards: Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore).
- Crash diagnostics: Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry).
- Payments: Google Play.
- Advertising: Google AdMob — the Service integrates AdMob for rewarded video ads. AdMob may collect advertising IDs and device information for ad personalization, measurement, and fraud prevention. Data is processed under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
- Hosting and deployment: Vercel (web hosting).
These providers process information only as needed to operate the Service, and data may be stored in data centers outside your country, including in the United States.
5. Your Rights
You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information.
To delete your account and data, open Profile → Delete account and data in the app. Once confirmed, your account identifier, cloud save, leaderboard entry and on-device game data are deleted immediately. If you have already uninstalled the app, use the email process described on our account deletion page (handled within 7 business days). You can also clear site/app data in your browser or device settings to remove local data, and any other request can be sent to the contact address below.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.
6. Advertising ID Reset
Because the Service uses AdMob, an advertising identifier from your device (AAID on Android, IDFA on iOS) may be used for ad personalization. You may reset this identifier or opt out of personalized ads at any time from your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
8. Data Controller
- Name: Wonchul Yang
- Email: wishsky022@gmail.com
9. Changes to This Policy
We will provide notice at least 7 days in advance through in-app announcements when this policy is added to, deleted, or amended. Where changes materially affect user rights, notice will be given at least 30 days in advance.
10. Effective Date
This policy takes effect on 2026-08-15. (Originally effective 2026-07-22; revised to reflect the introduction of cloud save, leaderboards, advertising and crash diagnostics.)
